Shaping the Future of IR: Mediatree Launches GCC Engagement Series in Dubai

Mediatree has officially launched its Middle East engagement series with a successful inaugural event in Dubai, marking the first step in the firm’s strategic expansion across the GCC. The Emperor Summer Social Event & Awards, held on 17 June in partnership with Mediatree, brought together senior Investor Relations (IR) professionals, industry leaders, and financial communications experts for an insightful, off-record discussion on the evolving realities of roadshows, Capital Markets Days (CMDs), and sustainability integration.

The evening was designed to move beyond traditional theory, creating an open space for candid peer-to-peer dialogue around the practical challenges currently facing IROs. Key discussions centred on utilising roadshows as a diagnostic tool to gauge investor sentiment, managing the complex decision-making processes behind organising a CMD, and the critical need to embed ESG considerations directly into core strategy and corporate reporting—rather than treating them as isolated compliance exercises.

“The response from the Dubai IR community confirms a genuine appetite for this level of strategic dialogue in the region,” noted Fallon Painter, CEO of Mediatree. “We are committed to establishing a lasting presence in the Middle East, and this event provided an ideal platform to begin that journey. The quality of the insights shared and the collective willingness to exchange real-world experiences were exceptional.”

The heart of the evening featured an engaging panel discussion exploring these shifting market dynamics, with valuable perspectives shared by:

  • Rami Al Banna (SHUAA Capital)

  • Ghaith Zghaibi (TECOM Group)

  • Fallon Painter (Mediatree)

  • Danielle Bistacchi (Emperor)

  • Moderated by: Leon Milligan (Emperor)

Following the panel, the event concluded with the presentation of the Emperor Dubai Corporate Awards. Mediatree extends its warmest congratulations to Mashreq, Talabat, Parkin, Alec Holdings, and Salik for their recognised excellence in corporate reporting.

Driven by strong engagement and demand from attending IROs, this event marks the beginning of a broader series of educational and networking gatherings across the region. Plans are currently being finalised for further activities in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia for the second half of 2026.

A video summarising the highlights and key takeaways from the Dubai event is available to watch on the Mediatree LinkedIn page.
